The St. James building had not been renovated since the 1940s, when our education wing was built. Since that time, much has changed. Our Lord's home was aging and the membership of our congregation was rapidly growing. It was time for us to follow the generations before us who have loved the church. It was time for us to care for this, our Lord's home.
St. James Vestry called upon all of us to engage in a three-year Capital Campaign. With the money raised, we are addressing the following projects:
- New expanded bathrooms
- Expanding and updating the kitchen
- Completing the Memorial Garden
- Renovating the Guild Hall
- A true entrance to the church from off the parking lot, with a foyer to gather people and a connecting corridor to take you to the offices.
- The creation of one meeting room and two offices off the connecting corridor.
- Repaving the parking lot
- Extra storage space and a playground off the Guild Hall.
